Upgrade from a 100A or 150A electrical service to a 200A system with a new panel, meter/service equipment and service conductors when needed. Safe, code-compliant work handled by licensed electricians.
Is your electrical service holding your home back?
An older 100A or 150A service may not be enough for today's electrical needs. Panels run out of breaker space, breakers trip, and new equipment has nowhere to go.
EV charging
Level 2 chargers require significantly more power, and older services often can't keep up.
Electric appliances
Modern ranges, dryers and appliances need more capacity for safe, reliable operation.
HVAC and heat pumps
High-efficiency electric HVAC systems need larger electrical service.
Home additions & workshops
Adding square footage, workshops or outdoor spaces increases your electrical load.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Do I need to upgrade from 100A or 150A to 200A?
Not always. If you're adding an EV charger, a heat pump, electric appliances or more square footage, an older 100A or 150A service can run out of room fast. A load calculation tells us whether 200A is the right move or whether your current service can handle it.
Will my meter need to be replaced?
Often, yes. Many older meter bases are not rated for 200A, so the meter base and service equipment get upgraded along with the panel. We confirm it when we look at your setup.
Do the service conductors need to be replaced?
If the existing conductors are sized for 100A or 150A, they need to be replaced to carry 200A safely. We check the size and condition of what you have before we quote.
Will the utility company need to be involved?
Yes. The utility has to disconnect and reconnect the service, and some upgrades need their approval. We coordinate that with them for you.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. We pull the permits and coordinate the inspections the job needs.
How long does a 200A service upgrade take?
The install itself is usually a day of work, but utility scheduling and inspections set the overall timeline. You get a realistic schedule with your estimate.
How much does a 200A service upgrade cost?
It depends on what needs replacing: the panel, the meter base, the service conductors and what the utility requires. We look at your setup and give you a clear, detailed estimate before any work starts.
