FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Do I need a full panel replacement?
Not always. Many problems, like a bad breaker, a double tap or a loose connection, can be fixed without replacing the panel. If the panel is damaged, obsolete or out of space, replacement is usually the safer call. We look at it and tell you which one you need.
Can you fix code violations without replacing the panel?
Often, yes. Missing protection, grounding issues, improper wiring and labeling can usually be corrected in the existing panel when the panel itself is in good shape.
How do you know if a panel is unsafe?
Heat, burn marks, a burning smell, corrosion, breakers that trip constantly or will not reset, and certain older panel brands are all warning signs. We inspect the panel and the wiring and show you what we find.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. We pull the permits and coordinate the inspections the job needs.
Will the power be off during the work?
For a panel replacement, yes, for part of the day. We plan the shutoff with you ahead of time so you know when the power goes off and when it comes back. Smaller corrections often need only a short outage.
How long does panel replacement take?
Most panel replacements take a day of work. Inspections and any utility coordination can add to the overall timeline, and you get a realistic schedule with your estimate.
How much does panel replacement cost?
It depends on the panel, what needs correcting and what the inspection turns up. We look at your setup and give you a clear, detailed estimate before any work starts.
