FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

In most cases, yes. Running a new feeder and subpanel to a detached building usually needs a permit and an inspection. We pull the permit and coordinate the inspection for you.

Yes. We trench, lay the conduit at the depth code requires, pull the feeder and backfill. If underground does not make sense for your yard, we can look at an overhead run instead.

It depends on what you plan to run out there: tools, welders, compressors, heat or AC, an EV charger, lighting. We size the subpanel and feeder to that, with room to grow, instead of guessing.

Yes. We can put the charger on the new subpanel or run a dedicated circuit for it, as long as the feeder and your main service have the capacity.

Most detached garage jobs take one to a few days, depending on the trench length, the ground and the size of the subpanel. Inspections set the final timeline, and you get a realistic schedule with your estimate.

It depends mostly on the distance from the house, the feeder size, the trench and what goes inside the garage. We look at the site and give you a clear, detailed estimate before any work starts.
