FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Do I need a dedicated circuit for my pool or hot tub?
Yes. Pool pumps, heaters and hot tubs each need their own properly sized circuit with the right protection. Most hot tubs also need a disconnect within sight of the tub.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. Pool and spa electrical work almost always needs a permit and an inspection. We pull the permit and coordinate the inspection for you.
Can you install or upgrade pool lighting?
Yes. We install and replace underwater pool lights, deck lighting and landscape lighting, including low-voltage systems and the transformers that feed them.
What size circuit do I need for my hot tub?
It depends on the tub. Most 240V hot tubs need a 40 to 60 amp circuit, but the manufacturer's spec sheet is what decides it. We size the circuit, wire and disconnect to that.
Can you fix code violations on an existing installation?
Yes. Missing bonding, no GFCI protection, bad grounding and wiring too close to the water are common. We find the issues and bring the installation up to code.
How much does pool or hot-tub electrical work cost?
It depends on the equipment, the distance from your panel and whether the panel has room. We look at the site and give you a clear, detailed estimate before any work starts.
